WHY NOTHING ELSE SEEMS TO HOLD THEIR ATTENTION FOR LONG
One more swipe. One more video. One more surprise chosen for them. On a fast, endless feed, they never have to wonder what comes next. The next surprise arrives automatically.
A new gift works differently. It can create one exciting moment, but if it offers no new question, challenge, or reason to return, that momentum can fade. The next video is already waiting, while you’re left trying to invent what comes next.
It isn’t because you chose the wrong gift. And it isn’t because their curiosity disappeared. It’s the imbalance: the feed keeps renewing the novelty for them, while an ordinary activity needs a new reason to begin again.
THE NEXT SURPRISE COMES FROM THE REAL WORLD
ALMEO was built around a different idea: children don’t need another stream of answers. They need a starting point that sends them into the real world and leaves the discovery theirs. That’s why every Wondernaut mission follows a simple three-part loop:
- SPARK — A quick prompt makes an ordinary find worth a second look.
- INVESTIGATE — They hunt it down and use the microscope to reveal a detail their eyes missed.
- IMAGINE — They guess, draw, name, or turn what they found into a story of their own.
They close their eyes, cut the deck, and reveal one of 52 missions. After exploring, they flip the card to discover the Secret, while Level 2 offers another way to continue. The card starts the search. The microscope brings the hidden detail into view. The notebook gives their own ideas somewhere to go.

FROM THE FIRST OPEN TO THE NEXT ADVENTURE
A card can become a question, a challenge, a discovery, and a reason to explore again.
-
The First Open
They open a real digital microscope, a notebook made for their ideas, and 52 cards full of adventures still waiting to be revealed. It feels like more than a gift. It feels like the beginning of something.
-
The Deck Chooses What's Next
Eyes closed. They cut the deck at random. The card they reveal sets the next adventure: a Mystery, a myth to test, a hunt, a Duel, or a creative challenge.
-
The Adventure Leaves the Table
One card gives them a reason to move. The kitchen table, the backyard, or the next family walk can become part of the adventure.
-
They Find Something Worth Looking At
They search, compare, and look closer. The microscope brings hidden detail into view, turning an ordinary find into a real "Wait… what is that?" moment.
-
The Discovery Becomes Theirs
Before they flip the card for the Secret, they get to guess. Then, depending on the card, they can draw it, name it, test an idea, tell its story, keep score, or invite someone into a Duel.
-
The Next Adventure Is Already Waiting
The Secret can reveal another layer. Level 2 can offer another way to continue. And when you plan the next walk, afternoon, or family moment, the deck is ready to reveal what comes next.
It starts with a card. Then the next question, walk, challenge, or story can become theirs.

2. FOCUS ON THE FIND
Turn the focus ring to bring the detail into focus. Use the buttons to zoom in, zoom out, or adjust the light.
3. SAVE THE DISCOVERY
Tap Capture for a photo. Hold it to record a video. For video and computer transfers, add a compatible microSD card, sold separately.
DESIGNED TO MAKE ROOM FOR IMAGINATION
Wondernaut was designed around research-informed principles that support curiosity, autonomy, and creative expression giving children more room to wonder, choose, and imagine in their own way.
Then we refined it through two structured feedback rounds with U.S. parents, so every adventure feels clear to start, open-ended to explore, and never like homework.
MORE THAN A MICROSCOPE
A microscope helps them look closer. The Wondernaut Kit was designed to give what they find a mission, a story, and room for imagination.

OUR MISSION: TO KEEP THEIR WONDER ALIVE
We started ALMEO because we believe the light inside a child matters. The questions they ask, the worlds they invent, the way an ordinary leaf can become a secret map or a whole new planet.
Those are not small things. They are how children learn to see possibility before anyone tells them what is or isn’t possible.
But every day, more is ready to fill that space for them: another swipe, another answer, another thing already chosen.
We created the Wondernaut Kit to make room for something different.
A moment to look closer, ask their own questions, and follow an idea somewhere no one else expected.
Because we don’t want their imagination to simply stay busy.
We want it to stay lit.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What exactly is included in the Wondernaut Kit?
The Wondernaut Kit includes one digital microscope with a built-in screen, one Explorer’s Notebook, and one deck with 52 mission cards plus two instruction cards.A compatible microSD/TF card is sold separately.
What ages is Wondernaut recommended for?
Wondernaut is recommended for ages 5–12. Younger explorers may enjoy a mission with an adult reading a card aloud or helping with setup. They can still lead the important part: looking closer, guessing, drawing, naming, and telling the story their way.
What does a child actually do during a mission?
in. Then they look closer, follow the prompt, and make the discovery their own by guessing, drawing, naming, telling a story, or inviting someone in.
Is it a solo activity, or can we play together?
Both. A child can follow a mission in their own way, then invite someone in when they want company. Duel Cards and Squad Mode give families ways to turn selected missions into shared challenges.
Does the Explorer’s Notebook feel like homework?
No essays. Ever. The notebook gives them ways to draw, name, map, or tell the story of what they found. There is no long paragraph to finish—just room to make the discovery their own.
Do we need a phone or tablet to get started?
Not for the core experience. The microscope has a built-in screen, so they can see the detail they are observing right there in their hands.
Is a microSD/TF card included?
No. A compatible microSD/TF card is sold separately. It is needed for video recording and for transferring saved files to a computer.
Will they still have something to do after the first look?
The first look is only one place to begin. The deck holds 52 mission cards, with new prompts, Secrets, Level 2 paths, and selected shared modes waiting whenever they want another discovery to follow.
How long does the battery last, and how is it charged?
A full charge takes about 2 hours, and the manual lists up to about 2 hours of use per charge. Charge it fully before the first mission with a 5V/1A adapter rather than directly from a computer. Actual battery time can vary with the screen, LED brightness, zoom, and how it is used.
Why is the Wondernaut Kit $79.99?
Wondernaut is more than a microscope on its own. It brings together the digital microscope, 52 mission cards, the Explorer’s Notebook, and built-in ways to keep each real-world find going. Its balance of direction, choice, creative expression, and shared play was shaped by research on children’s motivation and refined through structured feedback from U.S. parents.
