ALMEO — Terms of Service

1. Who we are

almeokids.com (the "Site") is operated by HMV Group Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 17154645), registered office at Office 18491, 182-184 High Street North, London, England, E6 2JA ("ALMEO", "we", "us", "our").

By placing an order on our Site, you ("the customer") accept these Terms of Service in full.

2. Accessing the Site

Access to the Site is free. Some features (such as order tracking or newsletter sign-up) may require you to provide an email address. You agree to provide accurate and up-to-date information.

3. Products

We describe and present our products as accurately as possible. Minor variations (packaging print, card color calibration, box dimensions) may occur between what is shown online and what you receive, and do not constitute a defect.

4. Pricing

All prices are listed in US Dollars (USD). Applicable sales tax, if any, is calculated automatically at checkout based on your shipping address and added to the total shown before you confirm your order.

We may update our prices at any time. The price charged is the one displayed at the time your order is placed.

5. Orders

Placing an order on the Site constitutes acceptance of these Terms. HMV Group Ltd reserves the right to refuse or cancel any order in the event of a pricing error, suspected fraud, or incorrect/incomplete information provided by the customer.

6. Payment

Payment is due in full at the time of order. Accepted payment methods are displayed at checkout. All transactions are processed securely via Shopify Payments; we do not store your card details.

7. Shipping

Shipping methods, timelines, and costs are set out in our Shipping information. Estimated delivery time is 7–14 business days to the continental US. Shipping is free and tracked on all orders. A tracking number is emailed as soon as your order ships.

8. Returns & Our Guarantee

We do not offer a general right of withdrawal for change of mind once an order has shipped. Instead, every ALMEO kit comes with our 30-Day Quality Guarantee: if your kit arrives damaged, defective, or not as described, we will issue a refund or replacement — no return shipment required. 9. Liability & Product Safety

ALMEO kits are designed for children ages 6–10 (usable through age 12) and are intended to be used with adult awareness, particularly regarding the small parts included in the card deck and notebook. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the Site or of our products. Except where prohibited by law, our liability is limited to the amount paid for the relevant order.

10. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site — text, images, the ALMEO name and logo, the Glim character, the Tiny World universe, and all mission and notebook content — is the property of HMV Group Ltd and is protected by copyright and trademark law. No reproduction or use is permitted without our prior written consent.

11. The Codex — Community Content

Our online Codex gallery displays creatures invented by children and submitted by a parent or legal guardian, in accordance with our Return & Refund Policy. By submitting content, you confirm you have the right to do so and grant HMV Group Ltd a non-exclusive right to publish it on almeokids.com. See our Privacy Policy for details on how submitted information is used.

12. Personal Data

Our use of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. Information we collect is used solely to process orders, provide customer support, and — where you've opted in — send you updates about ALMEO.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in effect on the date of your order is the one that applies to that order.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights you may have under the laws of your country of residence. Any dispute not resolved directly with our support team will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
